Manage roles

See who has each role in your group, rename roles, and choose what each role can do.

Who can do this

Group admins. You'll see a Dashboard tab at the bottom of the app.

To give a role to a member, or take it away, go to their profile instead. See Change a member's group and roles.

See who has each role

  1. Tap Dashboard, then tap ⋮ at the top right.
  2. Tap User Management, then Role Management.

Members are listed under each role. Tap a role at the top to show only that role, or All to see everyone. Search members finds someone by name. Tap a member to open their profile.

Change what a role can do

  1. On Role Management, tap the gear icon at the top right. You'll see Configuration, with every role and how many members have it.
  2. Tap a role.
  3. Change the options below and tap Save.
Option What it does
Member Status Include in the attendance and member list.
Master Attendance Allow to submit attendance for entire group and access new comer information.
New Member List Allow to access new comer information.
New Member Update Email and notification update when new users join.
Attendance Confirmation Receive confirmation email when attendance is submitted.

New Member Update and Attendance Confirmation each have three choices:

  • None: never.
  • Single Group: only for the member's own small group.
  • All Groups: for every small group in your group.

Changes apply to everyone with the role straight away.

What each role starts with

Until you change them, roles are set up like this:

Coach Off On On All Groups Single Group
Committee On On On All Groups All Groups
Leader On Off Off Single Group Single Group
Welcomer On Off On All Groups None
Media Team On Off Off None None

Rename a role

You can call a role whatever your group calls it, for example "Deacon" instead of Committee.

  1. On Configuration, tap the role.
  2. Tap the pencil next to its name. You'll see Change Role Name.
  3. Type the new name and tap Update. It can't contain spaces or special characters.
  4. Tap Save.

The new name shows everywhere in your group, including on members' Permissions.
