Create announcements and programs

Who can do this

Group admins. You'll see a Dashboard tab at the bottom of the app.

  • Announcement: news, special dates and one-off events. These show as cards at the top of everyone's home page.
  • Program: your regular schedule, such as weekly fellowship. Programs can also take registrations and carry scripture, songs and a worship outline.

Create one

  1. Tap Dashboard. Tap the title at the top and switch to Content.
  2. Tap Announcement or Program. You'll see what's already scheduled.
  3. Tap +, then choose:
    • From Scratch to start with a blank form, or
    • From Template to start from one you saved earlier.
  4. Fill in the sections below and tap Save.

You must give it a title. The end time can't be before the start time.

The form

Cover photo and text

  • Add cover photo: pick from your Gallery, create an AI Image, or choose a Stock Image. Then frame it and tap Done.
  • Title, Subtitle and Details (the description).

When

  • Starts and Ends.
  • Turn on All day to show the date only, without times.

Reminders

Reminders send members a notification. New events start with one reminder at the start time. With no reminders, members won't be notified.

  1. Tap Add reminder.
  2. Pick a preset, or under Custom set a time before or after the event. You can also choose a different Send at time of day.
  3. The sheet shows when the notification will go out. Tap Add reminder.

Tap a reminder to change it, or the bin icon to remove it.

Where

  • Location: the address.
  • Room: programs only.
  • Video Conference Link: for online events.

Option What it does
Attachment Tap Upload File to add files members can open.
Scripture Programs only. Bible passages for the program.
Registration Form Programs only. Members must register before the event. You build the questions; Share gives a public link so people can register on Fella web.
Worship Outline Programs only. The order of service, songs and who's serving.
Notes Notes for the event. Notes Access sets who can read them.
Simplified Program Programs only. Hides everything but the basics, for off-weeks or minor programs.
Visibility When on, everyone in the group can see the event. Turn it off to keep it hidden while you work on it.

Edit, reuse or delete

From Dashboard → Content → Announcement or Program, tap any event to edit it. You can also open the event and tap ⋮ → Edit Event. At the bottom of the form:

  • Save as template: reuse this event's details next time, with From Template.
  • Delete Announcement / Delete Program.

Past events are under the archive icon at the top of the list.
